About Omokoroa Massage

My name is Andrea Van Klei, a Registered Massage Therapist. I’ve lived in the caring community of Omokoroa for 6 years now. Certified in Health and Sport Massage from Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology and with additional skills in Myofascial Release, Shoulder Harmonising and Trigger Point Therapy, I hope to assist you to feel better.

“I take a holistic approach during your massage session taking care to address the painful area but also addressing the cause.”

The massage will be designed to match you with the technique that’s best for your unique health and wellness situation, whether it be a Relaxation massage, a Therapeutic massage or more intense Deep Tissue Therapy, or most likely a combination of these.

An Educational Psychology degree from the University of Auckland and an earlier career in business psychology and redundancy counselling taught me a lot about listening to people. I understand the psychology of overcoming mental and physical hurdles as well as the effort it can take to feel like yourself again while trying to regain a full range of movement.

“Having a plan and enrolling a team of people around you to assist in your recovery is vital.”

We are lucky here in Omokoroa that we now have a number of health modality practitioners that can offer you that multifaceted approach to wellness.

How I can assist you

Are you seeking relaxation and restoration or maybe need relief from pain or muscle soreness? Omokoroa Massage can assist you in the following ways:

MANAGE STRESS

Sometimes the stress of everyday living can take its toll. In addition to massage relaxing tense muscles and relieving the physical symptoms of stress, it can help calm your mind and improve your sense of wellbeing.

INJURY REHABILITATION

Massage may help you to recover faster by reducing stiffness, restoring movement and providing relaxation so you can focus on healthy healing instead of soreness and pain.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Whether you’re a committed athlete or someone who just likes to stay active, targeted sports massage improves circulation, loosens tight muscles and reduces stress on joints.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

If you’re looking to naturally manage chronic pain for an improved quality of life, massage can increase your range of motion, assist with deep sleep, lower anxiety and enhance mood.

Whatever your reason for seeking a massage, your body is likely to enjoy the benefits.
